Roles and access

Everyone in OutRigOS has one or more roles. A role decides which parts of the app a person sees and what they can change there. This page is built from the same rules the app enforces, so it is always current.

Whose records says how far each ability reaches:

Their own: records they’re on, such as their jobs, their tickets, their inspections.
Their branch: everything at their branch.
Whole company: every branch.

Add-ons

An administrator can give one person a single extra ability without changing their role.

See the full schedule: Opens the schedule board with every job and crew, not just their own assignments.
See pricing and costs: Shows dollar amounts on jobs, estimates, storage, parts and reports.
Approve payroll: Can approve time entries and close pay periods.
Delete records: Can delete jobs, estimates, equipment and other records instead of closing or archiving them.
All branches: Sees and works with records from every branch, not just their own.
Correct readings: Can lower a machine's hours or miles, approve readings held for review, and set its next service from Services Due.
Reconcile purchase orders: Can enter the final cost of a purchase order, mark it reconciled, and correct it afterwards.
Bill refrigerant recovery: Can see and set what each refrigerant recovery is charged, and mark it billed.
